CLINICAL SCALP THERAPY

This method is used to treat scalp problems that affect the natural re-growth of the hairs that fall out during normal replacement. Hair goes through three cycles on a normal scalp. "Anagen", which is the growing phase, "Catagen", which is when hair is being produced at a very minimal rate, and "Telogen", the resting phase at which time the hair is ready to be replaced by a new hair.
Scalp problems such as Seborrhea, poor hygiene, oily or dry dandruff that persists, tight scalp which impairs circulation, nerves, tension and a variety of other problems can directly affect the replacement or growing phases of the hair. This condition will usually cause the production of small, light fine hairs in the areas that were previously populated by normal hairs. |

Clinical Scalp Therapy is able to treat this problem and return the hairs to a normal strength through treatment. Both during and after treatment a program of scalp care and hygiene is instituted to insure that the problem does not re-occur. We have found that this program is the easiest and least expensive solution to the greatest percentage of hair loss and balding problems.
SURGICAL PROCEDURES
There are a variety of techniques, depending upon the area that is to be worked on, and the severity of the loss. The most publicized, however, is the transplant, which takes growing hair from the back of the head and "transplants" it to the frontal hairline or other areas that do not have any hair. This procedure is usually recommended as a last resort. |
